As tattoos are unique, so are their prices! Unfortunately, we cannot give you a set amount for your tattoo without considering the design, placement, and the reaction of your skin to the tattoo. For an accurate estimate, it is best to visit our shop in person.

However, our piercing services and jewellery selection have set prices.

Permanent body art is not completely painless. However, most of our customers report experiencing very little to no pain.

With small tattoos or singular piercings, discomfort is usually not in the picture. Only with larger tattoos or the piercing of multiple areas does pain become a factor to consider. There are many ways to prepare yourself well for your appointment and to reduce the discomfort. Here are some of our favorites:

• Listen to your best playlists to get in a good mood.

• Bring a friend! Talking to someone and having company can greatly reduce stress. If no friend is available, our artists are happy to have a chat as well.

• Make sure to eat and drink well before your tattoo or piercing. This will help you from feeling faint when your body releases adrenaline.

• If you are really worried, discuss the option of numbing oitments with your artist.

This changes per person, anatomy, placement of the piercing and the kind of jewellery you wish to replace your old ones with.
Cartilage will take longer to heal than softer tissue. Replacing a bar can be done earlier than replacing with a ring.
During your appointment, your artist will tell you about the timeframe for your specific piercing. We urgently ask you to follow this advice. Changing your jewellery too soon creates a high chance of infection of the piercing. If for any reason you need your piercing changed or removed before the timeframe, visit a professional piercer.

When you are unsure if your piercing is ready or have forgotten what timeframe to follow, please contact us or visit a professional piercer.

By European and Dutch law, you have to either:

• be of 16-18 years old with a valid ID, and your caregivers present at the appointment and consenting to the service.

• Above 18 years old with a valid ID.

Arcane Inkworks does not provide services to persons under the age of 16. Arcane Inkworks employees/artists will ask for proof of a valid ID upon making an appointment.
Our artists/employees can refuse to provide service to persons with an invalid, forged, or missing ID.

Well, whatever and whoever you need. We allow customers to bring company into the studio during their appointment.
Here is an item list to bring to your appointment:

• proof of valid ID

• any form of entertainment (provided it will not hinder the artists in their work)

• a bottle of water and a sugary snack. Our artist’s recommendation is a bottle of Coca Cola.

• a spare jacket or warm shirt. Though our studio stays at a comfortable temperature all year round, sitting still for long periods of time can make you feel really cold regardless of the weather.

Unfortunately, not fully.

For a quick piercing or tattoo you can easily access our ground floor. However, accessing the bathrooms or our lower floor requires climbing a narrow stairway.

Accessibility is very important to us, but unfortunately we are stuck with how the building was presented to us.
